The coastline has many small villages of stone houses, previously fishermen’s dwellings, and this gite is one such property which has been carefully restored to give flexible family accommodation with modern comforts whilst retaining many original features. There is a stone fireplace, wood beams and tiled floors. A feature wood staircase leads from the separate dining room to a spacious landing where you will find the shell of an old boat transformed into a “library” containing literature with a maritime theme. The separate kitchen is bright and cleverly decorated to blend modern fixtures and fittings with a traditional feel. The location of this gite is a big attraction being approx. midway between Cherbourg, Caen and Mont St. Michel, plus you will find shop and restaurant within 1 mile and the beach just beyond.
